Our story

Every vision has a story behind it, ours began in Oxfordshire, UK. Whilst working for an Agricultural Engineering firm, the founder decided there was more to life than going to work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Having sat down with a friend and plucking up the courage, the founder took a trip across the world to spend some time living and working in rural New Zealand on a beef and sheep farm around 80km's south of Queenstown. Having returned back to the UK after a long six months in early June 2021, the brand started to form as the founder noticed a large difference in rural fashion between the two countries. Wanting to create a brand based around the rural Kiwi culture, and translated from NZ slang to 'out in the sticks', Wop-Wops was born. The brand has been designed to survive being out in the Wop-Wops but smart enough to pop into town.

We have many product lines in motion and decided to launch the brand with the Rangiora Work Shirt; designed around the New Zealand/Australian work shirt but with a twist, incorporating a tri colour design to stand out from the crowd, discreetly bold branding to catch the eye of your peers and leave them wondering why they hadn't received the memo.

Be sure to keep in touch with the brand as we release more colour ways, and expand our range later in the year.  All requests for different colour ways are warmly welcomed into our email sales@wop-wops.co.uk

Sustainability

Here at Wop-Wops we believe everyone can do their bit to help the environment and that every little bit counts. Therefore all our packaging is either made from recycled materials or can be recycled; unfortunately a small amount of plastic is still needed to ensure our garments arrive in tip top condition. However we are always working with our manufacturers to innovate better, more economical and cost effective packaging solutions. Although our products are manufactured outside of the UK we ensure all products are made with sustainable, durable and safe materials that will stand the test of time in years to come, resulting in a long lasting garment that doesn't need to be disposed of due to premature wear.
