While we appreciate that buying a hat online isn’t quite the same as having one expertly fitted in person, you can easily adjust the fit at home using steam. Simply warm the hat gently, shape it to your preference, and allow it to cool for a custom fit that feels just right.

Storage Matters – Always store your hat in its cloth bag or a hat box to protect it from dust and moisture. Rest it on its crown, not the brim, to maintain its shape.



Brushing & Cleaning – Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust, always brushing in a circular motion. For light stains, a damp cloth or hat sponge will do the trick.



Avoid Excess Moisture – If your hat gets wet, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat. Never use a hairdryer or place it near a radiator.



Shaping & Reshaping – To restore its form, gentle steam can be used to soften the felt, allowing you to carefully reshape the brim or crown as needed.
